En plena sierra pre-pirenaica de Loarre asoma la localidad de Sarsamarcuello, rodeada por un paisaje excepcional de campos extensos y montañas escarpadas, que incitan a la práctica de deportes de aventura. La calma, el aire puro y la riqueza visual atraen para experimentar una vida más tranquila.

La Casa y Estudio de Fotografía “Mochuelo” (así se conocen a los habitantes de Sarsamarcuello) ha sido diseñada aprovechando la pronunciada pendiente del terreno en el que se implanta. El edificio se asoma, dominando desde lo más alto del terreno, a un paisaje que parece no tener fin y en el que conviven lo rural y lo natural. Al Norte, el edificio se cierra en sí mismo y se recoge al abrigo del terreno, aprovechando su inercia térmica. Al Sur, se abre a la inspiradora panorámica de la que hablábamos y a la luz natural que inundará el interior.

Situated in the pre-Pyrenean mountain range of Loarre, the town of Sarsamarcuello is surrounded by an exceptional landscape, with fields and craggy mountains which are normally used by adventure sportspeople. The calm, the fresh air as well as the visual riches of this enclave attract to experience a more relaxed life.

The “Mochuelo” House and Photography Studio has been designed taking advantage from the steep terrain where it is located. The building dominates an endless landscape where the rural and the natural coexist. The building is closed in the northern side where it is embraced by the ground, while the southern side is opened to the inspiring landscape panorama as well as to the natural light which will flood the interior space.
