La historia de Estambul está ligada a la influencia de diferentes culturas que han dominado el territorio. Cada una de ellas ha dejado una huella imborrable y ha contribuido a la creación de una sociedad diversa, con una cultura muy rica. Al igual que la ciudad, este proyecto ha sido planeado como un serie de capas con ‘culturas diferentes’. Por este motivo, cada estrato de la propuesta tiene una forma única de ser percibida, pero a través de un mismo hilo conductor: la pérgola.

En el nivel de calle, donde se encuentra el mercado, el espacio se ha diseñado para ser percibido de una forma dinámica. Los materiales de la envolvente tienen colores cálidos, que ayudan a transmitir sentimientos de alegría y excitación. Por el contrario, en el nivel superior, un especio de relajación, de estancia, se han utilizado líneas curvas y tonos verdes, lo que contribuye a la relajación de cerebro y ojos.

Estambul es conocido por ser una ciudad muy húmeda. El aumento de la humedad relativa atmosférica incrementa la sensación térmica, generando una sensación de incomodidad. La piel de cada elemento de este proyecto ha sido concebida para asimilar una parte de esta humedad.

Proposal for the ideas competition Istanbul Community Market of Ctrl+Space, architectural competitions portal.

The history of Istanbul is tied up to the influence of the many cultures that have dominated the territory. Each one of them has left an indelible mark and has contributed to the creation of a diverse society, very rich in culture. Alongside with the city, this project is planned as a series of layers with “different cultures”. It is for this reason that each stratum in the project has a unique way of being perceived, but with a common thread: the pergola.

At the street level, where the market is located, the area is designed to be dynamic and its materials are painted with warm colors, which help transmit joy and excitement feelings. The upper level is meant to be more static. The curvy lines and the different green tones help both, brain and eyes to relax.

Istanbul is well known for being a very muggy city. The relative atmospheric humidity increases the real feel temperature, which is at least uncomfortable. The skin of every element of this project is calculated to assimilate a part of this humidity.
